Weighing of day-old chicks with BAT1

Weighing of day-old chicks can be done in two ways, depending on what type of results you need to obtain.

Weighing of more chicks at once

When only an average weight needs to be obtained, 5 or 10 chicks are usually placed into a bin, which is hung on the scale. The scale will calculate an average weight of one chick by dividing the total weight by the number of chicks in the bin.

Weighing of chicks one by one

Thanks to high precision of the BAT1 poultry scale, it is possible to weigh day-old chicks one by one. Weighing of each chick is needed when the uniformity must be calculated, for research etc.
